It depends on your stack — that's why this directory is organized by category and grade. Sort by Trending to see what people connect most this week, or filter to grade A for servers with no security findings.
A remote MCP server runs in the cloud and speaks the Model Context Protocol over HTTP. There's nothing to install or host: you connect to its URL from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or through gate's single gateway URL.
gate connects to every open server, lists its tools and scans them for prompt injection, hidden instructions, exfiltration hints and over-broad permissions, plus a Claude review of each description. 100 points minus deductions; A ≥ 90, B ≥ 78. Grades are re-checked weekly. Servers behind sign-in can't be scanned from outside and show no grade.
Three places: a curated set of official vendor endpoints, servers their authors submitted through /submit (scanned first, reviewed by a human), and the official MCP registry, which gate imports daily and probes for reachability.
Go to /submit, paste your endpoint, and if it grades B or better fill in a short form. Listing is free and reviewed by a human.
Scanned in 30 seconds, reviewed by a human, free.
